And to know the US (which basically means the US entertainment industry) wants to delay Russia's admittance to the WTO because of the AllOfMP3 site...

 

I think it would be better to make sure Russia starts hunting spammers! And yes, I mean that quite literally hunting!

Pirating in Russia spreads widerife.

 

My girlfriend lived there for 4 months and the amouont of (perfect quality) cds and dvds she came back with was staggering. And they cost aabout 50p each. Nuts.

But that's because people don't have broadband. I guess the level is the same here, but it's just every (wo)man for himself.

 

But that's a whole different discussion....... (so I'll leave it to this)...

 

Though I admit I did buy some illegal DVD's when I was in China...

Yeah, that's the deal in Moscow. EVERYTHING is bootlegged. You'd be hard pushed to find anything genuine out there, and if you did I'm sure it would cost a fortune in comparison. It's such a massive debate, the industry is losing out on big money because it's so inflexible on release dates, regions and pricing.
