H_M_M Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/kniteforce/kflp01/ you can get the zip free from the kniteforce site (http://www.kniteforcerevolution.com/music/kniteforce), not sure how long i've had the "50 hardcore breakbeats" on my comp for, I think it was something moonkat gave me. anyway, it's just some breaks that go into each other. somewhere before 4:20 there's the (complete) 2 bad mice 'hold it down' which always seems to get sampled due to the very distinguishable humptydump break.after 4:20 there's this! AND THIS IS THE BREAK I need to ID! because that is the 3rd break in 'hold it down' here it is..break-id-june2010.wav so if I can get that badboy id'd I'm laughing, I need to ask around on hiphop forums because that 'whack'(?) voice might be a clue. also in: Quote
H_M_M Posted July 3, 2010 Author Report Posted July 3, 2010 well I've contacted luna C cause he's a friendly chap.I know as a sample IDer this is kinda cheating, (i've already cheated in the past with Mark/Altern8) but after spending the last 5 days going through thousands of hiphop and britcore I've given up tearing my hair out along the way. if Luna doesn't know, you can bet high Playford aint gonna let the secret out still being on moving shadow and that. that shakle LP arived today if any producers here want a decent .wav sample of that break. stenny Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 #12 = Tronik House - Up Tempo ?#33 is interesting as Andy C used that in Roll On - would like to know this one for sure! All the others are unknown to me, sorry. Quote
H_M_M Posted July 7, 2010 Author Report Posted July 7, 2010 #12 = Tronik House - Up Tempo ?Specialjustin is trying to get this ID'd too, like you I suggested Up tempo. but we're unsure if anything came about before that.http://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?/topic/49201-break-ids/page__st__180 Quote
humana Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 46 is the start of Tim Dog's verse in Ultramagnetic MC's - Chorus Line Part 2, presumably mixed with the Hardnoise - Untitled break. Quote
humana Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 40 is Main Source - Looking At The Front Door. Quote
H_M_M Posted August 7, 2010 Author Report Posted August 7, 2010 thanks guys! appreciate the help so far, will update that list a bit now Quote
stenny Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 40 is Main Source - Looking At The Front Door. This one needs to be added to the breakbeats section. Phyzix - The Glide [subjct 13] uses it plus loads of other tunes. Quote
Ornette Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 This one needs to be added to the breakbeats section. Phyzix - The Glide [subjct 13] uses it plus loads of other tunes. If that's Main Source - Looking At The Front Door then it's this:http://www.rolldabea...too-smart-clip/ http://rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=36983 Also worth looking at this... http://www.rolldabea...unky-worm-clip/ http://rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=38028 Quote
humana Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 I can't speak for the Phyzix tune, but the version on 50 Breakbeats is definitely the 2nd gen from Main Source as they programmed an extra kick drum after the open hi-hat. Quote

Ornette Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 (edited) Someone once id'd #16 on Subvert Central but I've not been able to find the thread again!! #18 is a variant on Kid & Play - Do It My Way. I'd like to know the true source of this as has been used quite a bit, by M Beat for one... but perhaps most memorabily used in Macka Brown - Go Down Baby #21 is a big Apache variant used a lot back in the day, defo needs an idEdit: Think I meant #29 here! #22 a Kool & The Gang - N.T. variant... #24 Neuromancer Drakey - Pennywise #26 is that not Stenny's Heavy D - Ain't Seen Nuttin Yet? #43 Lafayette Afro Rock Band – Hihache #45 again, a variant on Kid & Play - Do It My Way #47 Tango & Ratty - Tales From The Darkside #50 C Biz - Crowd Says Rewind (Scum & Bass Remix) When was this breakbeat pack made? Looking at a lot of these loops it'd seem fair to say that the majority of these are ripped from old hardcore/drum & bass records. The question then is, what do you want id'd - the exact record they were sampled from, or the root source? I'd say trying to identify and list every & any recycled beat loop is a bit pointless... Personally I feel the whole point of this forum was to identify those particular & unique loops that were to especially define the sound of the music, not every single bastardised offshoot with negliable, or inconsequential differences that have little relevance to the wider picture. Thanks for clearing most of those up mate! aha, nah, not trying to do that, just a bit of fun that's all, I don't want 3rd generation breaks lol.to be honest I don't care about the #2-#50 that much, just #1. but seeing as there were 50 I thought I'd have a go at doing more of them. If anywhere, this entire thread would look better in the tracklist section maybe? Quote
H_M_M Posted September 1, 2010 Author Report Posted September 1, 2010 sorry missed your question, 1993 it was made. Quote
H_M_M Posted March 29, 2011 Author Report Posted March 29, 2011 27 = 3rd Bass - Brooklyn Queens (Base Base Mix) Quote
Ornette Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Still plugging away at this list I see - good stuff Bit of trivia 3rd Bass got their name from Chuck D of Public Enemy if I remember it being, something about he wasn't very good at baseball at school and could 'never get past 3rd base'. So there you go - a mark of endearment That Debbie Malone "Rescue Me" you got listed - why haven't you posted that up yet? Thats a massive break spot! If you post that one in main forum I've got a few examples I can give. Make sure you find an example first. I knew I had it written on a bit of card from ten years back for a reason! Quote
