The_Manipulator
Some ID's and questions I've had for years... 1. Tune 1 (female "Don't Wanna Miss out... On A Good Things" vocals, from DJ Probe set, Kool FM, 26 Aug 1995)2. Tune 2 Get-No-Disc - Get-No-Dat, female 'Coming natural' vocal, male 'By the forces of nature I come with stylistic simplicity" (One In The Jungle, BBC Radio 1, 20 Sep 1996)Above mp3's are about 500kb each and run for about 2'30". The following seem to be unreleased. Unless somebody can prove otherwise (Nut Nut has also been added in the unreleased thread):3. DJ Nut Nut - Back In The Days (1995?, from Kenny Ken @ Kiss, 18 Oct 1995) About 750Kb.4. Kirsty (Willcocks) - Poltergeist (De Underground) (One In The Jungle, 20 Sep 1996) About 300Kb. And newly added (finally found the tape again!!):5. L Double - 1 in the Jungle - Nov 8, 1996. Slightly big clip at 3MB... Anyone??? The_Manipulator
Well, found out who sang the Poltergeist tune. Kirsty Willcocks. More info and a longer clip here. I've sent her an e-mail asking wether it was released or not (but I've got the feeling it's unreleased). So more when I get a reply.

The_Manipulator
Hmm... turns out Peoplesound.com do not have an e-mail adress for KW But you can download a 128kbps version of the tune on their site. Well, it's better than nothing!
Guest Guest
Poltergeist is a TUNE! Remember hearing on Radio 1 in 1996. Instantly fell in love with it! I would love this to be released!
The_Manipulator
Poltergeist is a TUNE! Remember hearing on Radio 1 in 1996. Instantly fell in love with it! I would love this to be released! I had the same. Was played 2 times (got both of them on tape...)... and then nothing! Well, at least I've now got the mp3... slightly different from the version played on the BBC, but better than nothing...

Force is Electric
I think the L. Double tune is Killer Motive ? Signal ? Streetbeats, but I could be wrong. That Kirsty tune takes me back to '96 man, those 1 in the jungle sessions are classic. that first clip almost rolls out like deadly deep subs. ============================================== I don't mean to sound cheeky or jack your thread for this, but would it be possible to post the 20th september 1 in the jungle show?, I have about 95% of those shows either as tape or mp3. was it Ray Keith?, with 'positive notions' as the first tune?. I know theres plenty of people, myself included, that would highly appreciate this one. theres a big thread on the 1xtra d&b messageboard concerning these rips. The_Manipulator
I think the L. Double tune is Killer Motive – Signal – Streetbeats, but I could be wrong. Well, worth checking out... (or in this case: quickly check if I ever downloaded it...) I don't mean to sound cheeky or jack your thread for this, but would it be possible to post the 20th september 1 in the jungle show?, I have about 95% of those shows either as tape or mp3. was it Ray Keith?, with 'positive notions' as the first tune?. I know theres plenty of people, myself included, that would highly appreciate this one. theres a big thread on the 1xtra d&b messageboard concerning these rips. They were all recorded on DAT through a sometimes dodgy satellite receiver... but I only kept the mix and tunes I liked... (and I kept them on tape...). So if it's just the mix that people want, I can probably do those, but not the whole show. So I'm actually interested in some of the other mixes... (which got screwed up by the dodgy satellite receiver).

The_Manipulator
I think the only one I have is Ray Keith... I can check the quality... Do you know if these are ever posted on usenet or something??? I'm at least interested in my mate Ash with Shy FX and I'm certain one of the Andy C sets got screwed by the receiver... The_Manipulator
Just gone through the tapes I could dig up. A lot without dates, but names that appear in the list. But I did find Swift from 6-6-1997 which isn't in the list.
The_Manipulator
I think the first ever show I heard was the one with Dazee. And I've heard most shows until the BBC pulled out of analog satellite  Can't remember what the last show was... it was live with a big name coming up... but unfortunately that was after the show (or for the last 10 minutes of the show)... I think it was called "Soho Live"??? Somewhere in the second half of 1997...

The_Manipulator
Thanks for that. I've taped Ray Keith. Just need to splice both sides of the tape together properly (looks like the flip was recorded just a bit louder than the a-side...).
