The_Manipulator
If they're wrong then post the correct cat nos here. We're trying to get all cat nos in the db to be exactly the same as what is in the runout groove of the vinyl And differentiate between catalogue numbers etched in the vinyl and printed on the label/sleeve, as they may also differ. josh-hill
Sorry I dont get this... I seen "this is not in your collection" at the side of the database results but how do I add stuff to my collection? when I go to my collection I just get no results show ... please use the forum to add a release that is missing? it should show an "ADD" button just below the "this is not in your collection"... that will add it tou your collection i added a bunch just to test it and i found that adding went pretty fast as you can just use the cat no and go thru all releases u got on the label real quick hmm... would be much quicker even if you would have "ticks" in a label view where u can tick all releases you got and add them.. lol.. pretty neat that you can add doubles as well btw
Law
Just wanted to big up the RDB crew for making the effort to do this, Ive been meaning to catalogue my shit for sometime now and Id much prefer to use this place that discogs. One suggestion...Currently you can only add tunes by viewing the release. I think it would be easy (for people adding vast amounts) if you could add releases while viewing the label page. ie, maybe a add button by each release or a tick box. Would just be so time saving when people are adding huge collection. Ive only added 130 odd tracks and will probably leave it at that until the final version but its only from a couple of labels. Just would be time saving imo cheers
iamdek
Apologies if this has already been mentioned in this monster thread .. but I was having a play with discogs this evening to see what their system did and noticed they list for advanced users, the following : "Organize your collection into custom folders. Your folders are private and not visible to others browsing your collection. " .. which could be nice

thijs
i'll make a backup every now and then. if things really do change i'll make a script. so unless a plane crashes into the server as well as my mobile hard disk at once, you should be fine
Ornette
Wishlist added...Does this explain the site being down for latter half of last week? I hoping you would be server backup more often than 'every now & again' don't you know, what with the situation with the forum 'front page' being there but with no 'content' I was really worrying rollback of 2 weeks of posts... that would be awful! Do you mean this is on locally hosted server????
thijs
the problems with the server were due to some OS problems. should have made a notice about it on the forum. and rdb.com is not running on a paid hosting if that answers your question... Phokus
i was wondering what the @ next to the Cat. No. was and i remembered this. big up on the progress! Is there any chance of introducing the "@" next to cat numbers when searching by artist eg, http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/paradox? Handy when you're trying to collect all of an artists output and you want to see what you have and what you don't...

Phokus
The orange colour means that the item is in your collection. Although it should also have a @ too, which seems to be missing from a lot of the orange entries in that image.
